Natural Colored Wool Studio and Farm is located in the prairie of NE South Dakota. We strive to raise sheep with wool qualities that are enjoyable to spin, soft to knit, with high luster that accept dye well and with characteristics for ease of felting. Marie has been raising sheep since 1978 and has been spinning since 1985. Kelly, her daughter, has been spinning since 1989 and within the last three years has started her own specialty flock.

I retired last year after teaching 27 years in the Brandon Valley School District. I had the privilege of getting to know many wonderful fifth and sixth graders over the years. My husband also retired from his position at Augustana c0llege so we are enjoying having time to do things together. We have horses which we enjoy riding and sharing with our grandchildren. Biking, gardening, reading, working out at the fitness center, and a big yard and flowers seem to keep me busy. We also enjoy having time to volunteer at our church and other community activities. My husband recently commented that even grocery shopping is fun when you don't have to hurry.

We now have two children living in Washington, DC. Our daughter Nancy is Deputy Chief of Staff for Senator Tom Daschle and our son Philip is in the FBI and works at the FBI Headquarters in Anti-Terrorism. Our youngest son Paul is a the Lieutenant with the Minnehaha Sheriffs Department. We are thankful for our seven delightful grandchildren. That is the reason I will not be able to attend the get together as I will be in DC to attend a very important 5 year olds birthday party! You will all be in my thoughts and prayers for wonderful week-end. See you in 2006! Enjoy!

Quammen Camilla

David and I celebrated our 45th Anniversary this year. We lived in Winona, MN after graduating from St. Cloud State. We were both active in Jaycees, Mrs. Jaycees and various other organizations. We moved to Manchester IA when David was transferred to manage a clothing store there. Over the years I worked as a secretary at a school. sold Real Estate and did the accounts at a small insurance agency.

We raised our three boys is a great small town atmosphere. While in Manchester, we were also involved with community activities. About 18 years ago we moved to Colorado. We are both still working and I really do not foresee a time anytime soon that we will retire. I like my job as Accounts Receivable Manager in a Overhead Door Company.

We have not gotten involved with any groups in Colorado and I do miss that, but we have six grandchildren ranging in age from 14 through seven that keep us busy with sports and activities. Each of our three sons has a boy and a girl. Our oldest and middle sons and families live in Colorado and our youngest son and family are in Albuquerque.
